Diabetic Eye Clinic

To improve compliance with diabetic eye screening our aim is to keep the time between referral and appointment as short as possible. Please fax a letter of referral with pertinent information about the patient to (204) 949-1143. It would be most helpful if you could include details about the patient's HgbA1c, target HgbA1c and a note about lipid and blood pressure control.

General Ophthalmology Consults

For referral to Dr. Sewell, please fax a letter of referral with pertinent information about the patient and condition to (204) 949-1143. Please indicate the level of urgency on the letter (urgent versus routine).

Emergent Ophthalmology Consults

Please note that any emergent consultations should be directed to the on-call ophthalmologist through Misericordia Health Centre switchboard at (204) 774-6581
