Google Glass is not a vision correcting device. Currently there is a single lens which acts as a screen upon which information is projected. But it doesn't take much to see that this is potentially a game changer in optical wear. Convergence is the buzz word of the last few years. One could easily incorporate corrective lenses into such a device complete with the included digital camera, cell phone, and wireless web access. Corrective lenses are actually cheap. If Leslie Stahl and Sixty Minutes worry about Luxottica and it's exhorbitant prices this is about to make Luxottica an after thought.
Don't think it will catch on? Sure, people only use their cell phones to make phone calls.
